What if Michael Bay ran Victoria's Secret? We love Michael Bay, that puts us in a select few. We also love Victoria's Secret models. So what could possibly be better than combining two of our favorite things. Michael has made our dreams come true, adding helicopters, explosions and knife throwing to perfectly good lingerie in this new commercial for Victoria's Secret ... Here's the HD clip

This week at the movies
Choices are limited this week, but we have one great movie. From Paris With Love which is a fantastic twist on an old formula with a great performance by John Travolta. that is however balanced by the other wide release, which is the horrendous Dear John that no one should be forced to watch.
We still are recommending catching up on some old ones that will soon be out of theatres. Mel Gibson's comeback in Edge of Darkness should be seen as should Extraordinary Measures featuring some nice work from Harrison Ford and Brendan Frasier, fun ride Sherlock Holmes, or of course Avatar specifically in 3D. There is also It's Complicated with its all star cast, or The Blind Side which everyone should see all of which come highly recommended.

A personal aide to the U.S. Ambassador in
France, James Reese (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) has
an enviable life in Paris and a beautiful French
girlfriend, but his real passion is his side job
as a low-level operative for the CIA. All James
wants is to become a bona fide agent and see
some real action. So when he's offered his first
senior-level assignment, he can't believe his
good luck - until he meets his new partner,
special agent Charlie Wax (John Travolta).
A trigger-happy, wisecracking, loose cannon
who's been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist
attack, Wax leads James on a white-knuckle
shooting spree through the Parisian underworld
that has James praying for his desk job. But
when James discovers he's a target of the same
crime ring they're trying to bust, he realizes
there's no turning back...and that Wax himself
might be his only hope for making it through the
next forty-eight hours alive.

5 Second Review:
Excessively violent, crazy fights, magic
bullets, crazy car chases, crashes, and more. In
other words first rate entertainment. Travolta
is magic here as he plays the part completely
over the top with just a little bit of a wink
and a nod to great buddy cop flicks of the past.
It works fantastically as does his chemistry
with Meyers. The formula is freshened and you
get the feeling this is not a one shot deal. I
am ready for more now.
The Ten Most Anticipated Movies of 2010
By Michael Larson © 2009
There
are three we think will be great, four that could go either way, and
three that we think will probably end up as crap. It's also very
early in the cycle so don't hold us to any of it. However, it is
very apparent in looking through next years movies that Hollywood is
officially out of ideas. Eight of these ten movies are either
sequels, old stories, or based on graphic novels. The good news?
There is an abundance of hotness coming to a screen near you in
2010...

Will Ferrell Comedies are cool, but kind-of silly
By Peter Veugelaers © 2009
Will
Ferrell is an inspirational comedian that could inspire audiences to
mimic his delivery of humor. He's that cool. He's got that sense
of desperation about life that's utterly charminginly hilarious.
But enough is enough. After a weekend of gorging on Will Ferrell
comedies it's kind-of-silly in retrospect but I'd be looking
forward to his latest, perhaps ... if you're in the mood. This year's Land of the Lost is supposed to be his next family film.
But were any of his grown-up†comedies, where he played the
lead, any good?...more
TV Bites with Neena Louise

I'm not much of a late-night talk
show watcher, but I'm most intrigued by the brouhaha caused by the
failure of Jay Leno's 10 pm talk show. It's been a long time since
there's been such a ruckus over a show and NBC is not handling it
well as it tries to save face. As this is written, nothing has been
confirmed, but the rumor is that Jay Leno will retake The
Tonight Show and Conan O'Brien
will be unceremoniously tossed out. Though I am a fan of neither,
this is just so wrong on so many levels...more
