Americans in Tokyo. Bob is a movie star in town to shoot a whiskey commercial,

Before Broken Flowers there was Lost in Translation. Two
disconnected American characters, one played by Bill Murray, an unhappily
married man on a business trip to Tokyo, the other by Scarlett Johansson,
accompanying her husband on his business trip, find a connection at a Japanese
hotel and scour the city. Often funny, poignant, and touching cross-cultural
comedy, central performances and characterisations are convincing, appealing,
and original. Written and directed by Sofia Coppola, daughter of Francis Ford
Coppola (The Godfather). Academy Award winner for Best Original
Screenplay.
