Television information set for Syracuse football’s game at Louisville

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse football’s game at Louisville next Saturday will be broadcast on ESPNU, SU Athletics announced Sunday morning.

Previously, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced it would air on ESPNU or ESPN2.

The Orange (4-6, 2-4 ACC) needs to win at U of L and then at home against Boston College to automatically qualify for a bowl game for the first time since 2013. SU is coming off a 64-43 loss against Wake Forest and may be without junior quarterback Eric Dungey for the second straight game.

The Cardinals (6-4, 3-4) are coming off a 38-21 win over Virginia, but haven’t beaten back-to-back Football Bowl Subdivision programs since their first two games of the year. Still, reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson is one of the nation’s most dynamic players. He recently became the first college athlete ever to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in consecutive seasons.

Last year, Jackson led the Cardinals to a Carrier Dome record, 845 yards of total offense, and became the first player in FBS history to throw for more than 400 yards and rush for 175 yards (he missed 200 by 1 yard) in a game. He finished with 610 yards of total offense and five scores, accounting for 212 yards and three touchdowns on just four plays over the game’s first five minutes.

SU and U of L are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. The Orange is still looking for its first road victory of the season.
