Entertainment Takes Center Stage At Park Fete

Rock and roll, an Elvis tribute, dancers
and a ‘circus of smiles’ will all take to the stage for the weekend’s Park Fete
celebration in Escalon.

The annual summer festival brings in
visitors from near and far and the entertainment is virtually non-stop from
Friday evening to late night Saturday.

Kicking off the fun on Friday, July 13
will be The New Past, performing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the city’s Main
Street Stage, situated in the park along the city’s main street.

Escalon High School grads Mike Martin
and Aaron Brown have been friends for over 30 years and have crafted a unique
style of crowd-pleasing music and storytelling.

Gotcha Covered will be the headliner on
Friday night, playing from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The 2012 MAMA (Modesto Area Music

Association) winner for Best Blue Collared Band, the group features a wide
variety of music, covering hits from the ‘70s on up to today’s music.

On Saturday, the local PowerHouse Dance
Studio takes over the stage at 11:45 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. for a number of
performances by a variety of age groups. The Escalon Azores Band will perform
from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the El Portal/EHS Summer Band takes the stage
from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Join in with the Circus of Smiles from
2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a clown comedy, juggling, acrobatic performance
fun for all ages.

Elvis Tribute Artist, Tony Freitas,
performs from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. featuring a number of hits and Never 2 Late will
bring their country sounds to the stage from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Greg Rivera, Brian Head and Tim Tanis
offer up soft rock and country from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the headliner band for
Saturday night, Alex Lucero and Live Again, will wow the crowd from
