Approximately 712,000 copies of Obama’s book, which was released in November, were sold the week before Christmas, according to the Post, citing stats from NPD Bookscan, which tracks about 80 percent of the retail market.

The Post reported that political books “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” by Michael Wolff, and “Fear: Trump in the White House,” by Bob Woodward, also ranked as top-10 selling books in 2018.

NPD Bookscan announced in late November that the former first lady’s book had sold 2 million copies, more than any other book published in the U.S. in 2018.

Obama embarked on a book tour to promote her memoir last year, sitting down with celebrities and engaging with audiences at arenas around the country and internationally.
