2019-20 NBA national television schedule unveiled

The first five days of the 2019-20 season will feature 16 different teams playing 11 national television games across TNT, ESPN and NBA TV, per the NBA’s press release.

TNT will have an opening-night doubleheader for the 24th consecutive season. The Toronto Raptors will host the New Orleans Pelicans in the first game. The battle of Los Angeles between the Lakers and Clippers will be the nightcap.

ESPN will tip off its 18th consecutive year of NBA coverage on Oct. 23. The Philadelphia 76ers will host the Boston Celtics. The Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets will follow that.

There will be five NBA games on Christmas Day. The Raptors and Celtics kick things off, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks taking on the Sixers in Philadelphia, the Houston Rockets traveling to the new Chase Center to match up against the Golden State Warriors, the Clippers and Lakers squaring off at Staples Center, and the Nuggets and Pelicans finishing things off in Denver.

A TNT triple-header and an NBA TV matinee will highlight the schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Atlanta Hawks host the Raptors, the Memphis Grizzlies will host the the Pelicans, the Celtics and Lakers will play in Boston, and the Blazers and Warriors will meet in Portland.
