Thieves steal sex toys, lingerie from adult entertainment store

Four people went into the Lion’s Den.  And as bold as a pride of the beasts, they walked out without paying for some $2,000 worth of adult sex toys, lingerie and other items.

Columbus police on Monday asked for the public’s help in identifying those involved in the theft from the adult entertainment store at 1144 Alum Creek Drive, which occurred just before midnight on Aug. 12.

Surveillance video shows a black man and a woman walk into the store, followed shortly by a white man and woman.

The quartet are seen carrying large amounts of merchandise before leaving the store without paying.

Mikella Haun, second assistant manager, was working in the store at the time. She said the four came in separately. The two women “grabbed as many lingerie and toys as they could carry.” One of the men took a large box containing a male sex toy worth $600 alone, she said.

Haun said she yelled at the suspects but they ignored her as fled “with plenty of toys and lingerie.”

Police said in a social media posting that the amount stolen was more than $1,000; Haun estimated the loss at around $2,000.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at 614-645-2072 or to email
