UW-La Crosse student making name for himself in music, entertainment industry

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — On the surface, UW-La Crosse junior Christian Anderson looks like your run-of-the-mill college student, but one glance into his social media accounts or one of his music videos show that this Middleton native is anything but ordinary.

The rapper turned entrepreneur turned marketer has blended all of his talents together to jump start his career in the entertainment industry.

Anderson juggles his musical career (Trust’N), entertainment management business (Lost Boy Entertainment), his job as a public relations executive for Bentley Records, his role as a contributor to Forbes Business Journal, all while going to school full-time at UW-La Crosse.

Anderson developed his passion for music in high school, rhyming to and creating hip-hop beats. Now, he’s using all of these experiences to begin building his brand.

“I’ve been building this entertainment empire,” said Anderson. “We’re building a clothing brand. We have this marketing firm, and on top of that, I want to get to the place where I can sign artists, and I can manage them and help them.”

The balancing act isn’t always easy for Anderson. While school remains the priority, the UW-La Crosse junior relies on his business partner and employees to keep Lost Boy Entertainment trending upward.

“The balance can be really, really difficult at times,” said Anderson. “Going to school and then, right afterwards, having to write a few blog posts, or my Forbes article is supposed to be due for this month… It can be challenging, but I have a lot of help.”

The constant juggling act has brought Anderson to levels that other college students dream of like receiving mentorship from Forbes Common Council, an invite-only
