Movies playing in Southeast Michigan, new releases Feb. 26

Theaters are open at limited capacity. The following list includes movies available at local theaters, and movies that are available to watch through online streaming and video on demand services including: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Hulu, Vudu, FandangoNow, Apple TV+, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max and more.

Showing at theaters

• “Tom Jerry” (PG): Cat-and-mouse animated franchise mixes with live action when Jerry moves into a New York City hotel on the eve of a wedding, and the event planner hires Tom to get rid of him. Available in theaters and HBO Max, Feb. 26.

• “Billie Eilish-The World’s A Little Blurry” (R): Documentary about teenage singer-songwriter Billie Eilish and her rise to stardom. In theaters and on Apple TV+, Feb. 26.

• “Nomadland” (R): After losing her income in the economic collapse of a company town in Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) sets off on the road. In theaters and available on Hulu.

• “Judas and the Black Messiah” (R): Film based on events surrounding the assassination of Black Panther party leader, Chairman Fred Hampton in Chicago, in the late 60’s. Starring LaKeith Stanfield, Daniel Kaluuya, Jesse Plemons, Dominique Fishback and Martin Sheen. In theaters and available on HBO Max.

• “Land” (PG-13): A grieving woman retreats to the wilderness of the American Rockies, and then is rescued by a local hunter. Starring Robin Wright, Demián Bichir and Kim Dickens.

• “The Mauritanian” (R): Based on the memoir about Mohamedou Ould Slahi (Tahar Rahim), who was captured by the U.S. Government, and left in prison for years without charge or trial. Defense attorney Nancy Hollander (Jodie Foster) and her associate Teri Duncan (Shailene Woodley) help Slahi fight obstacles in a desperate pursuit for justice.

• “Minari” (PG-13): A Korean-American family moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American dream. The family home changes with the arrival
