Brainerd Public Library announces it will be open for scheduled hours for patrons to come in to browse the library.

The library is calling it Grab Go, a time of short browsing sessions available Monday through Friday during specified hours. During Grab Go, customers wearing a mask can come into the library building to pick up requests, browse for 15 minutes or less, use the public internet computers or get assistance with brief reference questions.

“We are glad to be able to offer Grab Go in addition to our other current services,” Jenny Hill, Brainerd Public Library manager stated in a news release. “We are still offering our contact-free curbside pickup by scheduled appointment and, as always, help people access library resources over the phone and by email. During any interaction in our library building, everyone is required to wear a mask and asked to maintain social distance for everyone’s safety.”

Face shields are not considered sufficient face covering unless accompanied by a cloth or surgical face mask, Hill stated. The curbside pickup by appointment is available for those who are unable to wear a mask as well as for anyone else who prefers that service.
