One of Flushing’s favorite pastimes will be held every other Saturday evening, beginning at dusk at the Riverview Park Bandshell, located at 230 S. Cherry St.

This year’s featured flicks will be predominantly animated with “The Croods: A New Age” opening the summer movie season and “Raya and the Last Dragon” concluding the season on Aug. 21.

The concession stand known as the “Teen Canteen,” will offer low-cost snacks such as popcorn will be provided each night.

Funding from the Flushing City Parks and Recreation Committee has provided new equipment for the concession stand, including a new slushy machine and a nacho cheese warmer.

This year marks the 25th year the annual summer night event has been put on. Over the course of the years, the family friendly event has received generous support from local businesses.
