Stanley Tucci has The Devil Wears Prada to thank for helping him meet his wife, Felicity Blunt.

Tucci worked with Felicity’s younger sister Emily Blunt on the 2006 comedy drama. Prior to his union with Felicity, Stanley was married to Kathryn “Kate” Tucci (née Spath) from 1995 up until her death in 2009 from breast cancer.

“You never stop grieving,” he said of his first wife’s death on CBS Sunday Morning in January 2021. “It’s still hard after 11 years. It’s still hard. And it will always be hard. But you can’t let it … and she would never want any of us to ever wallow in that grief and let it take over our lives. She would never want that. She wasn’t like that.”

Stanley and Kate shared twins Isabel and Nicolo and daughter Camilla. He praised Felicity for taking on the role of being a stepmother to the kids after they met.

Who Is Felicity Blunt?

Felicity is a London-born literary agent at Curtis Brown. She first joined the company in 2005 and has worked for the agency in both London and New York.

Stanley and Felicity met for the first time at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada. Felicity attended the event with Emily, who played the character Emily in the film opposite Stanley’s Nigel. At the time, Stanley was married to Kate.

“We met before the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada in 2006,” Stanley told The Guardian. “There’s actually a photograph of Felicity and my late wife together. After Kate died, I saw her at her sister Emily’s wedding. I went to England to do a movie, and then we started dating.”

Stanley and Felicity tied the knot in 2012. In his 2021 memoir, Taste: My Life Through Food, Tucci revealed that instead of serving wedding cake at the celebration, they opted to have a “massive six-tiered structure made entirely of wheels of cheese.”

Stanley Tucci Addressed His Age Gap With Felicity Blunt

The Tucci in Italy star is 21 years older than Felicity. He spoke about their age gap candidly, telling The Sunday Times in September 2025, “I am sad that I won’t see her get old and that I won’t be able to look after her if she needs looking after. I think there’s something really beautiful about people aging together. And unless there’s some miracle, that can’t happen.”

The Conclave actor has five children. His eldest three kids, Isabel, Nicolo and Camilla, were born during his marriage to Kate. He welcomed son Matteo in 2015 and daughter Emilia in 2018 with Felicity.

Stanley explained the bond between his older kids and younger kids, particularly around the holidays.

“The whole idea of Santa Claus is still very much alive, and I love that. It makes it 10 times better, more than 10 times better,” he told People in October 2024. “I love Christmas, especially with little kids. I love decorating the house, decorating the tree with the kids.”
