After being friends for years, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig formed a romantic relationship after working on their first project together.
In February 2010, Weisz and Craig connected on the set of Dream House. Several months later, the Lovely Bones actress split from director Darren Aronofsky after nine years together. The former couple welcomed son Henry in 2006.
Craig for his part, was previously married to actress Fiona Loudon from 1992 to 1994. The exes welcomed their daughter, Ella, in 1992. Craig later moved on with Satsuki Mitchell, but they called it quits in 2010.
That December, Weisz and Craig were spotted packing on the PDA while enjoying the holidays together in the English countryside. Six months after they initially sparked romance rumors, the pair secretly tied the knot in New York.
Several years later, Weisz explained why keeping her marriage relatively private was a healthy choice.
“He’s just too famous. … You have to protect your marriage,” she told More in January 2018. “When you’re young, you tell your girlfriends everything. One of the great pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don’t have to share everything. When you’re married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you’re in your own life.”
That same year, Weisz and Craig confirmed that they were expecting their first child together. The couple welcomed their daughter, Grace, months later.

December 2010
Weisz and Craig first sparked romance rumors when they spent time together in the English countryside during the Christmas holiday.
“They picked up groceries at a little corner shop, probably to take home and cook or prepare for their roast,” an eyewitness told Us at the time. “They walked through the street like a married couple who had been together for ages — very much in love, very cozy and cute.”

The duo were spotted enjoying a date night in NYC on Valentine’s Day in 2011.
According to a source, the couple “were adorable” and spent the night “making out and dancing.”

Us confirmed that the pair tied the knot in upstate New York. Only four people attended the ceremony, including Weisz’ son with her ex, Craig’s daughter from his previous marriage and two of their friends, who acted as witnesses.

The Oscar winner reflected on being “friends for ages” with her husband before they officially started dating.
“We don’t sit around talking about acting, but you both understand you’ve got to be flexible,” Weisz told Marie Claire UK in 2012. “Every few months you start a new job. … As far as downsides go, I don’t think [fame is] a big one. It’s something we deal with together.”

During an interview with DuJour magazine, the Knives Out actor opened up about how his wife has helped make their lives as normal as possible despite their star status.
“There were phones back then, but nobody used the cameras,” he said of meeting fans. “Or there was a rule, if someone did it, you’d be like, ‘What the f—k are you doing?!’ My wife is the best in the world at all that, she’ll just turn to them and go, ‘No, thank you very much,’ and they’re like, ‘OK.’”

“I don’t think mine’s particularly exceptional apart from that we’re both in the public eye, but I never thought I would get married,” she told ES Magazine at the time. “It was not an ambition of mine. “They were strategizing when Black Widow was going to come out, and Kevin [Feige] was talking about, ‘Well, the other tentpole movie that’s going to be coming out is the Bond movie,’ ” the Mummy star said during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. “And they’re all discussing it … I thought, ‘Maybe he doesn’t actually know I’m married to Daniel.’ And at that moment, Daniel was walking down the stairs into the kitchen. And I really wanted to turn the screen around and go, ‘Well, he’s right here. You can ask him.'”

Weisz gave a rare update on her and Craig’s daughter, Grace, during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. “Daniel and our daughter have been watching Star Wars,” she told host Stephen Colbert, adding that her little one had become so “obsessed” with the franchise that they made her take a pause from it.
“[Craig] decided to tell her that Star Wars is broken,” the actress explained. “So, we were in London when this happened, so she said, ‘Dad said Star Wars is broken’ so they can’t watch it anymore. And then, we just got to New York, and she was like, ‘Is Star Wars broken in New York, too?’ And so, I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, it’s broken.’”

Weisz showed up to support her husband at the Opening Gala screening of his film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery during the 69th BFI London Film Festival at The Royal Festival Hall in London, England. Weisz could be seen looking up at Craig lovingly and grabbing onto his arm as they held hands and smiled for photographers.
