Brittany Cartwright is officially single and more than ready to mingle.

“I’m single as can be,” Brittany, 36, exclusively told Us Weekly while walking the BravoCon 2025 red carpet in Las Vegas on Friday, November 14.

When asked if there are any reality TV stars attending this year’s BravoCon who she would consider suitable enough for a potential hookup, The Valley star had some ideas.

“Everybody keeps saying Captain Jason,” she told Us. “I’m like, ‘I’ve never even met him in real life.’”

She continued, “I think [those Southern Charm boys] are all so cute and so sexy. Everybody is. But I’m just like, ‘Do I want another Jax?’ Not that they would be like Jax, but like, you know, I just got to figure it out.”

Brittany was, of course, referring to her estranged husband, Jax Taylor. The pair met in 2015 between seasons 3 and 4 of the hit Bravo show Vanderpump Rules. Fans watched their romance progress — from Brittany moving in with Jax during season 4 to Jax cheating on Brittany with former SURver Faith Stowers in between seasons 5 and 6 — and in June 2019 said “I do.”

In 2024, Brittany filed for divorce from Jax, according to court documents obtained by Us at the time, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and seeking sole legal and physical custody of their son, Cruz. Since then, the pair have been locked in a lengthy legal battle — one Brittany is “praying” will be over relatively soon.

“Things are happening with Jax,” Brittany said of her divorce proceedings during The Valley panel on Friday. “It was supposed to be October 15, and it’s been pushed back. Fingers crossed.”

While Britany is continuing to navigate her ongoing divorce while coparting with her ex, she will no longer have to film alongside her ex after Jax confirmed he was leaving the series to focus on his mental health.

“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and my coparenting relationship,” Jax told Variety. “Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cuz.”

On Friday, Brittany opened up about what it was like to film the new season sans her estranged husband, telling the crowd during the same panel that she is “definitely” getting her “sparkle” back.

“I think it’s come back a lot,” she explained. “It was great to not be harassed all season long. It was nice to have a break and just be able to focus on me and my son. It was a great experience.”

Brittany Cartwright Says ‘The Valley’ Shows Why She and Jax Taylor Separated

In Jax’s absence, fellow Vanderpump Rules alums Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz have joined season 3 of The Valley as full-time cast members. Scheana Shay, however, is not joining the cast, despite her close ties to many of the stars.

“I’ve talked with her about this a lot and, you know, it’s whatever she wants to do,” Brittany told Us on Friday of Scheana’s apparent decision not to film for the show. “I love her. I love Brock [Davies] and [their daughter] Summer. Like, I think that they’re, you know, [doing] whatever works best for them.”

She continued, “I think there’s a lot of things that people don’t know about and maybe, like, in the future, she’ll be back. Because she’s still our friend.”
