College sweethearts Saquon Barkley and his longtime love Anna Congdon have been together since before he was drafted by the New York Giants in 2018.
The twosome met while attending Penn State University, making their relationship official in January 2017.
“One year with my king!” she gushed via Instagram in January 2018. “Who would’ve known that acting a little crazy on this day would lead to the start of what we have!! you have taught me so much in such a short period of time. thank you for your wisdom, patience & understanding – you are truly one of a kind. your love is never taken for granted.”
Several months later, Barkley opted to forego his senior year at PSU and entered the NFL draft. In March 2018, Congdon announced that she was pregnant. Less than 48 hours after he was selected second overall at the 2018 draft, Congdon gave birth to their daughter, Jada, on April 24, 2018.
“Words can’t even describe how I feel right now. You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” the Heisman Trophy finalist wrote via Instagram at the time. “Thank God for blessing me with you in my life and into my arms. Barkley was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2024, less than a year after he and Congdon welcomed their son, Saquon Jr., who they call “SJ” for short.

The pair attended a fraternity formal together at PSU. They officially started dating one month later.
February 2017
“Happy 20th to my two-six💙,” Congdon captioned a birthday tribute to her beau.
April 2018
Their daughter, Jada, was born on April 24.

October 2018
Congdon supported Barkley during his first season with the Giants.
February 2019
The couple walked the carpet at the NFL Honors event.

September 2020
Barkley missed the majority of the 2020 season after he tore his ACL.

Jada a.k.a “Saquon’s biggest fan” wished her dad good luck at the start of the 2021 season.

Congdon commemorated the Giants’ first big win of the season by reposting a highlights video of Barkley from the game.

Barkley and Congdon welcomed a son, Saquon Jr., who they call “SJ” for short.
“Beautiful baby,” Barkley told reporters shortly after his son’s birth. “He lights up the room. Amazing smile. Jada is being an amazing big sister. Anna, obviously, an amazing mom. We’ve got a beautiful little family.”
June 2023
Congdon showed off her fashion skills to celebrate Father’s Day 2023.
“We distressed & painted some carpenter pants for Dad this year 👖,” she shared via Instagram alongside a video of the DIY gift, which featured handprints from both of their kids.
January 2025
Following Barkley’s trade to the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2024, Anna and the couple’s two kids celebrated on the field with him after the Eagles’ win over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship.
In early February, Barkley confirmed to People that he proposed to Congdon ahead of his debut Super Bowl appearance.
