Brooks confirmed their engagement in a post shared via Instagram in September 2025, showing off her gorgeous ring. The captionless carousel of photos featured a sweet snapshot of Brooks with her arms wrapped around Hemsworth as her diamond sparkler gleamed in the sun.
Her relationship with Hemsworth dates back to December 2019 when they were first spotted together in Byron Bay, Australia. Their romance has been going strong ever since, with Hemsworth sharing a rare selfie with Brooks via Instagram in July 2025 just before announcing their engagement.

What Is Gabriella Brooks’ Job?
Brooks is an Australian model, actress and influencer. She has one acting credit in the 2018 short film Unremarkable. Her modeling work began when she was scouted at 14 years old.
“I think that is one of the really fun parts of the job, exploring different parts of yourself,” she told Harper’s Bazaar Australia of what she loves about modeling. “We’re all very multifaceted … and it is really fun to step into a new character and explore different parts of yourself.”
When it comes to her sense of style, Brooks revealed she may be pulling some pieces from her fiancé’s closet.
“Mostly vintage, some stolen boyfriends’ clothes,” she told It’s Now Cool when describing her fashion taste.

Brooks previously dated Matty Healy. She was first linked to The 1975 singer in 2015 after sharing a photo of him via Instagram. They attended the BRIT Awards together two years later. Hemsworth revealed he and Brooks were quarantining together amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Phillip Island, Australia.
“It’s just a very mellow area where I grew up,” he told People in May 2022. “It’s quiet and it’s a beautiful spot. I’m able to see the ocean from my house.”
The actor revealed that he and Brooks enjoyed playing Scrabble together during their time at home.
