Man Locked Girlfriend in His Home, Threatened to Murder Her If She Escaped

A Texas man was arrested after he allegedly locked his new girlfriend in his home and threatened to kill her if she tried to escape.

Adrian Anthony Longoria was arrested on Sunday, June 7, after witnesses called police to report a disturbance at a truck stop in San Antonio, Texas.

Officers responded to the Flying J Travel Center, where witnesses claimed they saw Longoria, 32, chasing his girlfriend around with a gun and threatening to kill her if she didn’t get back into his car, according to a report from the San Antonio Police Department that was obtained by KSAT.

Police later found the woman, who had a black eye and several visible bruises covering her body. Police also spoke to Longoria, who denied assaulting his girlfriend and told police that she got the bruises during a “previous fight.”

However, the woman had a very different version of events. She told police that she had only known Longoria for a few months and they had an “intimate” relationship. She added she went to live with Longoria at his home in Cibolo after she left rehab at the end of May.

It’s not currently known how long the pair knew each other before she moved in or how they met.

According to police, the woman said she tried to leave two days after she moved in, but Longoria refused to let her go.

The woman went on to claim that he stood in front of the door when she tried to leave and pointed a gun at her. “If you try to leave or escape, I’ll kill you and your family,” Longoria allegedly told her, per the report.

Longoria then allegedly held the woman at his home against her will, and he assaulted her and refused to let her leave for several days. He also took her phone while she was held hostage, though she was able to use Longoria’s phone to contact her family.

Longoria was arrested on June 7 and was charged with kidnapping.

He is currently being held in custody at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. It has not yet been confirmed when Longoria is next scheduled to appear in court.

It is not currently known if Longoria has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest. The San Antonio Police Department did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment regarding the case.
