Frankie Muniz’s Wife Paige Addresses Deleted Split Announcement Amid Backlash

Paige Price Muniz has Frankie Muniz’s back after he deleted the pair’s initial divorce announcement in order to exclude a video featuring their family.

“Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you,” Paige, 33, commented on the actor’s new post, shared via Instagram on Wednesday, July 1. “This world is so f***ed.”

Paige continued, “Divorce is bad, sure — it’s not like we’re excited about it … but we’re two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can’t believe people could scrutinize that.”

Earlier that same day, Frankie, 40, announced via social media that he and Paige had called it quits after six years of marriage. The initial announcement included a video of the actor, his wife and their son Maux, 5, dancing to We The Kings’ hit song “Check Yes Juliet” as Frankie provided a “life update.”

“Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage,” read the caption. “After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as coparents. We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared.”

Frankie added that he was “endlessly grateful” to Paige and her commitment to their family.

“She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter,” the Malcolm in the Middle star continued. “That foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere. We’re excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to coparent our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had. We’re closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son.”

Frankie later removed the post and uploaded a new announcement following backlash from some internet users. While the caption remained the same, Frankie chose to use a picture featuring the family of three rather than a video of a happy family moment.

“Aw. I’m glad I got to see the first one right before it disappeared. It was so cute,” one user commented, while another replied, “The video was lovely. As a child who survived a bad divorce, it was healing to see 2 people who love each other and themselves & walking through it together.”

Frankie and Paige started dating in 2016 and got engaged two years later. The pair tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed Mauz in March 2021.
