Chyler Leigh announced her divorce from Nathan West in May, but the pair actually settled their divorce more than one year ago.
Us Weekly can exclusively confirm that West, 47, quietly filed for divorce from Leigh, 44, in June 2024, two days after he claimed in court documents that they had separated. They finalized their divorce in June 2025, according to the filing.
The Grey’s Anatomy alum, meanwhile, went public with their split during the May 12 episode of the “Books That Changed My Life” podcast.
Leigh explained to listeners that “it was time to let it go,” noting, “I think getting to a point where my relationship with my ex had reached a point where it was just time.”

The former couple, who tied the knot in July 2002, share three children, Noah, 22, Taelyn, 19, and Anniston, 17.
Us confirmed on Thursday, July 2, that Leigh and West’s final decree of divorce was filed on June 9, 2025, and around that time the exes were not living together.
According to court docs obtained by Us, their separation was due to “irreconcilable differences,” and they had “given full and mature thought to the making” of their dissolution agreement filed on June 6, 2025.
Following their split, Leigh was awarded property in Tennessee and ordered to pay West $200,000, per the filing.

The Way Home actress was allowed to keep her 2023 Kia Telluride and “all appliances,” including household furniture, furnishing and other personal property in one of their Tennessee homes. The only exception was West’s personal items, such as his road bike, tools, Weber grill and hockey gear.
West, for his part, was awarded another property in the state as well as a speed boat and pontoon boat. He was able to keep his 2023 Toyota Tundra.
He was given all the household furniture, furnishings and personal property in the aforementioned home, excluding Leigh’s personal belongings such as her jewelry, massage chair and “her choice of kitchen items,” according to the docs.
As of March 2025, Leigh and West were no longer using each other’s credit cards as they’d quietly separated nearly one year prior, the filing states.
The actress also transferred nearly 50 percent of $602,699 to West’s account, per the decree. Leigh, meanwhile, was awarded part of their joint bank accounts.
According to the agreement, West received $26,334.89, while Leigh was allocated from $8180.75 a City National Bank account.
The Supergirl alum was also awarded three accounts from the Royal Bank of Canada as well as all the business interests in Bright Star Entertainment Inc.
As part of their distribution of assets, West received $993,023.08 in addition to the $200,000 Leigh paid him in 2025. The Bring It On actor was also able to keep all his interest in Modern Machine LLC.

When it comes to alimony, the exes agreed that Leigh pay West $5,000 a month for 10 years, which began June 2025, according to the filing.
The Miracle actor was awarded half of Leigh’s monthly retirement benefits from her Screen Actors Guild pension plan, per the docs, after agreeing to name their three children as beneficiaries.
When Leigh and West parted ways, they outlined their coparenting plan as having joint custody of their minor child, daughter Anniston. (The pair’s two eldest children, son Noah and daughter Taelyn, were not minors when they split.)
According to the decree, Leigh will get Halloween with Anniston, while West will have the July 4 holidays. The custody agreement also states that the former spouses will “split even and odd years” for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Leigh was ordered to pay West $2,100 in monthly child support beginning in May 2025, as her monthly income is $90,000 and his is $3,000, according to the docs.
Leigh also agreed to pay for the “child’s long-distance travel cost when traveling to, and from Tennessee to mother’s work locations.” (She most recently filmed Hallmark’s The Way Home in Canada, but the show ended earlier this year.)
“The fact that the [two] adult children lived in the residence with the minor child and mother‘s work schedule currently in Canada and on location elsewhere in the future, the parties will be flexible in regard to the parenting time,” the parenting agreement read, noting that if Anniston doesn’t travel with Leigh during her “parenting time,” she is “permitted to stay home” with her two older siblings.
West and Leigh also resolved to make “joint decisions” based on education, healthcare, non-emergency and extracurricular activities for their youngest child. However, Leigh agreed to be responsible for Anniston’s health insurance costs.
