Miranda Lambert is clearing the air — and setting the record straight — after her alleged bar fight with Chad Kroeger more than a decade ago.
Lambert, 42, broke down exactly what happened between her and the Nickelback frontman, 51, in 2010 during the Thursday, October 1, episode of The New York Times’ “Popcast” podcast.
“True or false: you hit Chad Kroeger in the face,” podcast cohost Joe Coscarelli asked the “Bluebird” singer on the show.
Lambert — who was sipping on her “charm juice” a.k.a Tito’s vodka and soda — admitted she was “nervous” to answer, but ultimately spoke her truth.

“I threw moonshine on his face,” she confessed. “I did do that.”
The country singer admitted that after she tossed her drink on Kroeger, his hair was “wrecked.”
“It was just a late night, and no one was in their best state,” Lambert explained.

When asked whether her actions were “playful and mischievous,” Lambert hinted there was more to the drama than a joke.
“I don’t know if we’re fine now — but I don’t care,” she admitted.
The lore surrounding Lambert and Kroeger’s relationship dates back to 2010 when they had an altercation at a bar while the “Gunpowder & Lead” singer was celebrating her 27th birthday in Nashville.
Us previously reported that Kroeger “kept persisting” that Lambert do shots with him but she refused.
An eyewitness claimed that Kroeger told Lambert she “didn’t have to be a bitch about it” which prompted her to grab the shot and toss it on him. (Kroeger has never publicly commented on the alleged altercation.)
Four years later, Lambert’s then-husband, Blake Shelton, alluded to the incident during her Rolling Stone cover story.
“People always try to pop off or call her bluff at bars,” Shelton, 50, said of Lambert at the time. “One of them I don’t want to say the guy’s name, but he’s the lead singer of a very popular rock band.”

The former Voice coach added, “His initials are C.K.”
Lambert and Shelton got engaged in 2010, tying the knot the following year. They were married four years before announcing their divorce in July 2015.
“There are no hard feelings,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “They want to move on as friends, and they are doing just that.”
Lambert has since found love with Brendan McLoughlin, whom she wed in January 2019. Shelton, for his part, married Gwen Stefani in July 2021.
