Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle are embracing their life together back in the U.K. by getting cozy at the pub.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted having lunch at Cotswolds’ The Falkland Arms on Thursday, October 1, according to photos published by The Sun.
In one photo, Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, were seen holding hands as they walked together for the sweet lunch date.
The prince wore jeans, a puffy navy jacket, grey slip-on sneakers, sunglasses and a Santa Barbara Fire Department baseball cap — from their time back in the States — for the afternoon meal.

Meghan was also dressed casual in black jeans, a black long-sleeved shirt, black sunglasses and white sneakers.
The pair’s outing marked their first sighting together since moving to England from California in August. (Harry and Meghan had been living in Montecito, California, since mid-2020 following their choice to step down from their royal duties earlier that year.)
Us previously confirmed that Meghan and Harry planned to relocate from the U.S. to the U.K. with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, ahead of the start of the school year.
Meghan Markle Shares Sweet 42nd Birthday Tribute to Prince Harry
News broke on August 26 that the Sussex family had landed in England and Archie and Lilibet.
Meghan gave fans a rare glimpse at their home life in the U.K. via Instagram on September 12, sharing videos of the kids playing and the Suits alum stomping around in her wellies in the rain.
Days later, Harry and Meghan had a hiccup in their plans related to the children’s schooling. Hello! reported on September 14 that Archie and Lilibet had already switched schools due to security concerns.
“The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements,” a spokesperson for the couple told the publication. “The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family. This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there.”
The following week, Meghan was spotted for the first time since the move meeting pals Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi on September 21 in the Cotswolds.
Meghan’s fun times with friends were short-lived as another security incident plagued the family toward the end of September.
Prince Harry Breaks Silence on His Family’s ‘Eventful’ Move Back to England
Page Six reported on Wednesday, September 30, that two men identified as photographers for a European press agency were spotted around the grounds of Archie and Lilibet’s school. (The incident transpired two days after a similar sighting at the RAF Fairford base.)
“There is a world of difference between legitimate media activity and photographers walking the perimeter of a school, stopping to look into the grounds and monitoring children as they go about their day,” a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan told Us in a statement after the incident, alleging it is “concerning” how paparazzi seemed “unwilling to respect the privacy of children at school.”
The statement continued, “To behave in this manner in these particular circumstances, and so soon after the incident at RAF Fairford, demonstrates an extraordinary lack of judgment. Whatever photographs they may have been seeking, this was not only an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children; it was an irresponsible and ill-considered way to conduct themselves in the vicinity of a school.”
