A successful relationship. Kieran Culkin and his wife, Jazz Charton, have been by each other’s sides for nearly a decade.
The Succession star and the London native met at a New York City bar in 2012. Culkin recalled his hilarious first conversation with his future wife in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I said, ‘I’m Kieran. You have an English accent. What’s your name?’” he shared in October 2021. “She said, ‘I’m Jazz.’ I said, ‘J-A-Z-Z, like the music?’ And she said, ‘Yeah.’ And I said, ‘Well, that’s f–king stupid.’”
His humor worked the trick, and the two tied the knot a year later. “7 years ago we went on what was supposed to be a 6 week road trip but ended up taking 3 1/2 months,” Charton captioned an Instagram picture from their special day in June 2020. “7 years ago we fell in love with Iowa. 7 years ago we met a girl named Kinsey who helped us get our marriage license and 7 years ago today we said I do in the rain with 3 strangers. Whose genius idea was it to have Father’s Day right before our anniversary? One gift counts for both right?”
Charton has gone on to share several glimpses into their life together over the years via Instagram, from family gatherings to taking trips together to hanging with her husband’s older brother Macaulay Culkin and his fiancée, Brenda Song.
In May 2019, Charton revealed that she and the Father of the Bride star were expecting their first child together. “My favourite surprise so far,” she captioned an ultrasound pic via Instagram. “We had no idea how much we wanted this until it happened. We’re excited/terrified/ecstatic/unprepared but we cannot wait to meet our little unexpected creation in September.”
They welcomed their daughter, Kinsey Sioux, in September 2019. Two years later, the pair revealed they were pregnant again, and welcomed son Wilder Wolf in August 2021. In addition to becoming parents of two, Kieran and his wife also welcomed a nephew that same year, as Macaulay and Song welcomed their first child, son Dakota, in April.
In October 2021, Kieran admitted that he hadn’t gotten the chance to meet his brother’s baby. “I’m a little bit ahead on the dad thing. I’ve got a 2-year-old daughter and an 8-week-old son,” he said told Access at the time. “But I haven’t actually met [Macaulay’s] son yet because he lives in California and there’s been work and a pandemic and all that stuff.”
After Macaulay and Song welcomed their second son, Carson, in March 2023, Kieran also confessed that he hadn’t met their latest addition due to travel challenges. “Well, the cousins live in Los Angeles, we live in New York,” the Movie 43 star told Access Hollywood that same month. “I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old and as busy as I am, there is no getting on a plane and going.”

The couple first met at a bar in New York City while Charton was working in the music department of an advertising company. “I said, ‘I’m Kieran. You have an English accent. The two tied the knot while on a road trip together in Iowa. A month after their low-key nuptials, Charton shared a pic of their matching pillows that read “Mrs. Culkin” and “Mr. Culkin” via Instagram.

The Home Alone star called his wife the “most beautiful girl” in an interview with iNews, adding, “When someone is as beautiful as my wife, you just want to be close to that.”
He went on to share more details about their first meeting. Noticing that Charton was with another guy at the bar where he introduces himself, the actor shared, “I asked if he was her boyfriend and when she said no, I asked if I could be her boyfriend. We’ve been together ever since.”

Six years after saying “I do,” the duo announced they were expecting their first child. “My favourite surprise so far,” Charton captioned a sonogram pic via Instagram. “We had no idea how much we wanted this until it happened. We’re excited/terrified/ecstatic/unprepared but we cannot wait to meet our little unexpected creation in September.”

Before officially becoming parents, the two took a babymoon trip together.

“And just like that our little Kinsey Sioux (‘Zissou’) is home,” Charton captioned an Instagram pic of herself holding her and the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World star’s newborn daughter. “After 25 hours of laboring at home, we arrived at the hospital too late for any pain meds as I was already dilated and ready to push (if I ever do this again I want ALL THE DRUGS, all of them!) and she was out within the hour during a full moon on Friday the 13th. Of course our daughter was born on Friday the 13th.”
She continued: “This is me 4 days postpartum – I live in sexy surgical mesh underwear that’s keeping a world of pain in check, my boobs are engorged, I burst blood vessels In my face from pushing, my big pregnant belly that I loved so much deflated to a mere paunch but it’s all so worth it. I’ve never been more in love and we’ve never felt more complete.”

Nearly two years later, Kieran and Charton announced that they were expecting baby No. 2.

The proud parents revealed that they welcomed their son, Wilder Wolf, a month after he was born in August 2021. “One month with our perfect little man 8.17.21,” Charton captioned a slideshow of Instagram pics with her baby.

Two months after becoming a father of two, the Paper Man star revealed that he and his wife didn’t have a name picked out for their son until seven weeks after Wilder Wolf was born.
“We had a dry-erase board, and we just went over every name we’d thought of,” he said on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “We were like, ‘Let’s focus on girl names because we like these,’ and we narrowed it down to two names we really liked. We agreed it was going to be one of those two names if it’s a girl, and if it’s a boy, we’re screwed. And we had a boy. And spent seven weeks arguing about names.”

Charton showed her support for her husband’s first-time Saturday Night Live hosting gig via Instagram. “Proud would be an understatement,” she captioned a pic from his SNL photo shoot. “So lucky to see this impressive man achieve his dreams – even while our kids deprive me of sleep and just general quality of life. Going to the after party was a mistake.”
