Becca Kufrin found love with Thomas Jacobs after deciding to give romance on reality TV another shot.
The former Bachelorette, who was previously engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Garrett Yrigoyen, returned to Bachelor Nation during season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise, which premiered in August 2021.
Although it wasn’t love at first sight, Kufrin and Jacobs formed a strong relationship in Mexico. After a brief breakup during the show’s finale, the two made up off camera and started dating outside of the spotlight.
The twosome, who got engaged in May 2022, began their lives together in San Diego, California. Ahead of their October 2023 nuptials, Kufrin gave birth to the couple’s first baby, son Benson, who was on hand for their courthouse ceremony. The couple purchased a new home together in May 2024.

Fans met Kufrin on season 22 of The Bachelor. During the season finale, Luyendyk Jr. proposed to the former public relations specialist, but later called off the engagement and moved on with runner-up Lauren Burnham. The race car driver married Burnham in 2019 and they have since welcomed daughter Alessi and twins Senna and Lux.
Kufrin, for her part, became the Bachelorette on season 14, which premiered in May 2018. She got engaged to Yrigoyen during the finale but confirmed in September 2020 that they split.

Jacobs joined Bachelor Nation during season 17 of The Bachelorette. He was painted as a villain by the men in the house and cut by Katie Thurston for allegedly being there for “the wrong reasons.” Kufrin, however, didn’t know much about the San Diego, California, resident before meeting him on Bachelor in Paradise.
“I had only seen, I think, the first two episodes of Katie’s season — it was before things got really bad for him,” she explained during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast. “It was kind of like this weird mind [f—k] if you will because I was getting to know him for him on that beach and seeing how he interacted with everyone and seeing how everyone got along really well. And then when I would watch the show, I’d be like, ‘This isn’t what I’m seeing, what’s going on here?’ It was really, it was, like, this weird warp in my mind.”

The former college athlete popped up during the second episode of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, which premiered in August 2021, but filmed earlier in the summer. Kufrin made her Paradise debut one week later. Although Jacobs initially pursued Tammy Ly, sparks quickly flew between him and the Minnesota native.

Despite having serious chemistry during BiP, Kufrin broke up with her love during the show’s finale, which aired in October. At the time, Kufrin told Jacobs that she had doubts about his sincerity. “I feel like you’re so good at being supportive and positive and surprising me in all of the best ways, but I feel like sometimes it’s too good to be true and that scares me,” she said. “I’ve been here twice now before, and I couldn’t leave here and feel OK about leaving with somebody that I don’t 100 percent fully know.” Jacobs tried to reassure her that he was all in, saying, “Everything inside of me screams that I’m falling in love with you,” to which Kufrin replied, “But I haven’t seen any of that.”
After showing their breakup on TV, ABC announced that the twosome had since gotten back together. “They are happy and in love,” the title card read at the end of the episode.

“We chatted until, like, three or four in the morning some nights and just talked about any and everything,” Kufrin said during an October 2021 appearance on the “Talking It Out With Bachelor Nation” podcast of the couple’s off-camera reunion. “The second I saw him — because I flew back to L.A. and then drove down to San Diego — I think right away he picked me up and kissed me and then we just had unlimited time to explore what this could be.”

“You know what they say … Third time’s a charm,” the B the Label designer captioned a video montage of her sweetest moments with Jacobs, confirming they are still dating after briefly calling it quits on the BiP finale. “I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy. “Should I start following him on the gram yet or what?” Kufrin captioned a series of photos with her boyfriend at Blended Festival in San Diego, California, which they attended with fellow Bachelor Nation stars, including Blake Horstmann, Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour.
Jacobs also shared snaps from the festive weekend, captioning them, “Memories a lot clearer than these photos. Kind of. #LoveMyPeople.”

“And just like that, 6 months later. I’m so proud to share this life with you,” Jacobs wrote via his Instagram Story on the pair’s six-month anniversary. “182 sunrises have brought so much joy, growth and love into my life and I’m grateful for each one. Can’t wait for 18,200 more.”

The twosome were caught packing on the PDA during the season 18 Bachelorette: After the Final Rose special. As Michelle Young was listening to her runner-up, Brandon Jones, speak about their breakup, fans noticed Kufrin and Jacobs making out in the background. Kufrin playfully responded to one fan’s criticism of them “getting down,” writing, “Can ya blame me?”

Jacobs joined Kufrin during her first week of tour stops for Bachelor: Live on Stage. “I’m so freaking proud of you! After confessing that she wants to “spend my life with” Thomas during a May 2022 episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour,” Becca revealed that she has given her boyfriend some conditions about a potential proposal. “He knows this, he needs to ask for my mother’s blessing. He can’t get down on knee until that happens,” she told cohost Michelle Young. “I’ve already done two very public engagements. I do not like that and I do not want that again, [and] he’s very well aware [of that]. For me, I’ve been there done that.”
She continued: “I’m at the point where … I want to be with him, I don’t need anything big, extravagant, public in any way. I just want it to be us. He knows that. I honestly didn’t need to tell him that, he just knew from everything we’ve talked about, which is really nice.”

Kufrin and Thomas got engaged in May 2022, they excitedly shared via Instagram. “In the ultimate plot twist…HE SAID YES!” the Bachelor season 22 winner captioned her the social media photos, calling herself “the happiest gal alive” and referring to Jacobs as “the one who makes my heart smile every single day.”
In turn, Jacobs — who called Kufrin’s proposal “the ultimate UNO reverse card / power move” — thanked his now-fiancee for “keeping me on my toes.” He added: “Cheers to forever Boops.”

The couple “officially [became] co-home owners” in July 2022 when Kufrin announced that the pair had moved into their first home together. “Tommy is my new roommate and Minno & Leo are our new tenants,” she wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside several photos of her and Jacobs celebrating the milestone with a champagne toast. “Let’s fill this home with so many laughs, meals, memories, and maybe a couple babies.”

Kufrin revealed that she and Jacobs are expecting their first child. “Party of 5 coming September 2023,” she captioned an Instagram reel that featured snaps of the expectant parents showing sonogram pictures to their two dogs. “Little Bebe, we can’t wait to meet you, hold you, and watch you grow.
