Chace Crawford has a few notable exes — and even shares a dog with one of them.
The Gossip Girl alum revealed that he and an ex rescued their dog, Shiner (named “after a Texas beer”), and still share custody.
“It’s all about him though. It’s all about the dog,” Crawford said during his June 2024 “Call Her Daddy” podcast appearance. “She’s got a fiancé. I don’t think it’s a weird thing at all. … She does have a key to my house.”
Crawford explained that he’s “friends and cordial” with said ex, who appears to be Rebecca Rittenhouse, and it’s a “great” situation.
Crawford and Rittenhouse dated from 2015 to 2018 after meeting on the Blood and Oil set, and a brief scroll back on her Instagram feed shows photos of Shiner the dog. However, Crawford did not reveal her identity during his “Call Her Daddy” episode. (Rittenhouse got engaged to Kyle Robiskie in September 2023.)
“It’s a girl I worked with on a, it was a bad TV show, but it was like in 2015 maybe or something like that. We’re still good friends. She’s great,” he added. “She’s a very great person.”

Crawford was romantically linked to the country music star in May 2007, two years after her American Idol win. Their relationship was short-lived as news of their split broke in April 2008.

After Gossip Girl came to an end in 2012, Crawford stayed in New York City where he linked up with Goulding. The two started dating in March 2013 and he confirmed they had split more than a year later.
“It’s totally good. It’s totally good,” Crawford said in a July 2014 interview, confirming their split. “We had fun.”

The Hills star confirmed in July 2022 that she and Crawford briefly dated. Years after they first met, Patridge reconnected with Crawford in 2014 and “sparks were flying.”
“We were just inseparable,” she wrote, revealing they spent a weekend together. “I genuinely liked him after these incredible few days together, and I had the feeling it was mutual.”
However, things didn’t go much further. Patridge declined “a ride back to L.A.” with Crawford. “He’s such a gentleman and so normal and kind,” she wrote of the actor.

Us Weekly confirmed in 2015 that Crawford and Rittenhouse were dating after meeting on the Blood and Oil set. Rittenhouse shared various photos of herself and Crawford on social media together throughout their three-year romance. Us confirmed their split in April 2019.
I’ve been dating around a little bit, but, you know, nothing serious,” he told Us at the time, revealing their breakup.
