After more than two decades together, Heather Dubrow and Dr. Terry Dubrow’s romance has only gotten stronger.
The pair met after Heather asked her pal’s boyfriend, who was a transplant surgeon, to fix her up with any Jewish doctor he knew.
“He wasn’t really my type, but you know, I was like, ‘We’ll see,’” Heather recalled during a November 2015 episode of her “Heather Dubrow’s World” podcast, noting Terry had “dark hair, didn’t dress well [and] needed help as most men do.”
Despite her first impression, Terry won Heather over with a goodnight kiss and post-date phone conversation.
“[He said], ‘You know how you’re a kid, and you wake up on Saturday morning, and you realize you don’t have to go to school, and you turn over, and you find that amazing place in the pillow again? That’s what it’s like to kiss you,’” Heather recounted on her podcast.
After two years of dating, the pair tied the knot in 1999 and went on to welcome four children: twins Nicholas and Max, born in 2003, Kat, born in 2006, and Ace, born in 2010.

“20 years ago tonight I walked into this restaurant, had a blind date with this man and my life was changed forever,” Heather wrote via Instagram in December 2016, adding a “Thank You Ari and Craig” hashtag in honor of their matchmaking friends.

Heather, who was a staple on RHOC from 2012 to 2016 before eventually returning five years later, and Terry notably got into a heated exchange during a season 8 episode after he used the “D word,” referring to divorce.
“It’s embarrassing to me that Terry’s bringing this up,” Heather admitted during a confessional interview. “You know, you don’t know people [like the other Housewives] hearing what goes on behind closed doors. That’s private.”

The actress and Terry opened up to Us about how they were navigating lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic.
“We went through a margarita phase. We pulled out that margarita maker. That special one,” Terry explained in June before gushing that Heather was a “shockingly” good cook.

Heather addressed the rumors about Terry’s infidelity while at BravoCon, revealing that it “wasn’t hard” to film the drama since “it’s not true.”
“Look, success breeds contempt. I don’t know who’s starting the [rumors]. It’s not the first time, I’m sure unfortunately it won’t be the last time. But at the end of the day, you have to know that you are OK. You know what your life is and you have to just push the noise out,” she told Us, adding, “I will say you might wanna see how everyone else [on the show] reacts,” she teased.

The couple had their wedding cake recreated in honor of the 25th anniversary of their nuptials. Heather took to Instagram to share photos of the couple cutting the cake on their special day in 1999 alongside snaps of them doing the same thing a quarter-century later.
