Lana Del Rey is completely wrapped up in newlywed bliss following her recent wedding to alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene.
As Del Rey, 39, stepped out at the inaugural InStyle ImageMakers Awards on Thursday, October 24, she gave a rare, albeit brief, update on her and Dufrene’s marriage.
“It’s good,” the singer gushed to the magazine in a red carpet interview shared via Instagram. “We’re happy.”
Dufrene, 49, did not join Del Rey at the event, held in Los Angeles. She walked the red carpet solo in an ivory beaded gown with a matching fur stole.

“It’s Valentino — so Alessandro [Michele] and I love it,” Del Rey enthused to the outlet. “It’s perfect!”
Her dress, which the InStyle reporter described as “ethereal,” also delivered bridal vibes, which is fitting since Del Rey and Dufrene wed last month in an intimate Louisiana ceremony.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer and Dufrene were first linked in May, five years after she shared Facebook photos while attending one of his 2019 wildlife tours. It is not known how or when they got together.
Earlier this month, Del Rey gushed via Instagram comment that Dufrene was her “one and only.”
Del Rey previously dated the likes of Barrie-James O’Neill, Francisco Carrozzini, G-Eazy, Sean Larkin and Clayton Johnson. During a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, she opened up about why she thrives in intense relationships.
Celebrities Who Fell in Love With Non-Famous People: Lana Del Rey and More
“It’s been beautiful, but it’s been confusing because when that’s your prerogative, things don’t end in a traditional way,” Del Rey told the outlet. “You don’t have that traditional relationship where maybe you go out with couples at night, or you do normal things. It’s more of an extension of the creative process.”
She added at the time, “There’s high-impact events that happen, or big adventures, or big fallouts. So it’s inspiring, and it’s not grounding, but it’s what I need to keep going.”
In the profile, Del Rey also revealed that she was “really looking for an equal” and wasn’t afraid of an age-gap romance. (Dufrene, for his part, is 10 years older than Del Rey.)
“I sort of have an affinity for really good, strong, self-assured people,” she stated. “I would say I haven’t met them as much in people who are in their 20s. So for me, I have nothing in common necessarily with somebody who’s in their 20s — yet. That I know of, thus far.”
