Zoe Saldaña and Marco Perego Saldaña have been going strong for nearly a decade.
The twosome started dating in spring 2013, but their story began years earlier. “I’ve known my partner for five years. I knew of his work. I knew of him. Then we met,” the Avatar star told The Hollywood Reporter in July 2014. “And months later, we both made the decision to do what we both individually vowed never to do — to get married.”
The couple quietly wed during summer 2013. “As soon as we decided we were going to get married, we didn’t wait. We did it three weeks later,” she continued. “That part was very, very quick.”
The Marvel actress and the producer went on to welcome three kids: twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio in November 2014 and son Zen in December 2016.

Son Zen was born in late 2016. The Nina star announced the news in February 2017, writing via Instagram: “Marco and I are elated to share the news of the birth of our son Zen. We couldn’t feel more blessed with the new addition to our family. #threeboys… oh boy!”

The actress opened up to Us about having “female toys and male toys” in their household.
“I’m always gonna be honest and that is always the best way to welcome healthy and truthful discourse, especially around parenthood. … [The twins] made a comment two weeks ago like, ‘Boys are stronger than girls,’ because they’re in that stage of comparisons. And you have to take a moment and kind of put together an answer that they will understand,” she explained, telling Us that her goal as a parent is “[to] not bring all this charge that you have as an adult and as a woman into their lives. They’re a blank slate.”

Not long after their ninth wedding anniversary, the twosome proved to still be going strong, sharing a sexy snap from Ibiza in September 2022.

The couple packed on the PDA as they walked the Oscars red carpet together, even sharing a smooch for the cameras. The Guardians of the Galaxy star stunned in a white Fendi Couture gown accessorized with Cartier jewelry. Her husband, for his part, kept it classic in a black and white tuxedo.
June 2023
The couple twinned in black at the Italian premiere of The Absence of Eden.
March 2025
Saldaña gave a sweet shout-out to her husband while accepting the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2025 Oscars. (Saldaña won the trophy for her performance in Emilia Pérez.)
