A new court filing in the ongoing custody fight between Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans includes some significant and troubling allegations.
Gruffudd, 51, has accused his ex-wife of giving their children cocaine — and of leaving the door to their home open so her drug dealer could enter — in a recent court filing, according to a report from The Daily Mail published on Saturday, May 3.
According to court documents obtained by the outlet, in 2020 Gruffudd allegedly received phone calls and text messages from the pair’s children Ella and Ellsie that said Evans was allegedly “openly consuming cocaine.” He also claimed that while on a Facetime call he saw Evans allegedly trying to give the girls the drug.
Gruffudd also accused Evans of violating an August 2022 restraining order.

“I signed up to attend a private parent teacher conference at my children’s school on November 17, 2022,” he reportedly wrote in the documents. “I selected the final appointment of the day to ensure no possibility of running into Evans and confirmed that Evans had not signed up to attend a conference. My private meeting with my child’s teacher was in progress when Evans stormed into the classroom. I went into a state of shock.”
Gruffudd and Evans were declared legally single in July 2023, two years after the actor filed for divorce. Us confirmed in March 2021 that Gruffudd filed to end his marriage with Evans after 13 years together. Two months prior, the actress claimed via Twitter that her then-husband wanted to call it quits.
“Sad news. My beloved husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week,” Evans wrote in January 2021. “Me and our young daughters girls [sic] are very confused and sad. We haven’t been given a reason except that he ‘no longer loves me’. I’m so sorry.”
Gruffudd and his now-wife Bianca Wallace went public with their relationship in October 2021. Evans accused Gruffudd of having been unfaithful during their marriage.
“So it turns out that my husband, after two years of telling me I’m a bad person and I’m not exciting and he no longer want so to have sex with me and he just wants to be on set abroad … Has been in a relationship for THREE years behind all our backs. Good luck, Bianca,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. (Gruffudd, for his part, did not address the claims at the time.)
