As Elliot Page has made great strides to become his most authentic self, his search for The One continues.
The Juno star came out as gay in 2014 and revealed in his 2023 tell-all, Pageboy, that he had a secret romance with Kate Mara while he was filming X-Men: Days of Future Past. At the time, Mara was also dating Max Minghella.
While their romance didn’t pan out, the pair remained good friends. The House of Cards alum moved on with husband Jamie Bell, and Page got another chance at love with Samantha Thomas. The twosome made their official debut as a couple in September 2015 and dated until early 2017.
After his split from the artist, Page sparked a romance with Emma Portner in July 2017. The couple announced less than one year later that they had tied the knot. Two years into their marriage, the Inception actor revealed that he identifies as transgender. Us Weekly confirmed one month later that Page filed for divorce from his wife of three years. The estranged couple later clarified that they quietly separated the previous year.

Olivia Thirlby
In his 2023 tell-all, Page recalled frequently hooking up with his Juno costar while filming the indie movie in 2007.
“Her hotel room, in our trailers at work, once in a tiny, private room in a restaurant … We thought we were being subtle,” he recalled. “Being intimate with Olivia helped my shame dissipate. I didn’t see a glint of it in her eyes and I wanted that — done feeling wretched about who I am.”
Kate Mara
The Whip It star had a secret romance with Mara in 2014 while she was dating Minghella. Despite going their separate ways, Page revealed in his memoir that he and the Fantastic Four actress are still good friends.
Samantha Thomas
Page and the Texas native made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2015. The pair dated until 2017.
Emma Portner
The Canada native and the dancer wed in 2018, quietly separating two years later. Us confirmed in 2021 that Page filed for divorce.
Julia Shiplett
Page seemingly debuted his relationship with the Overcompensating star in June 2025, sharing a selfie of the pair celebrating pride. Us Weekly reached out to Page and Shiplett’s reps for comment at the time.
