Adam Sandler won over wife Jackie Sandler with his sense of humor — and they’ve been going strong ever since.
The pair first crossed paths at a party before working together on the 1999’s Big Daddy, sparking a romance soon after. Adam popped the question in 2002 and Jackie continued to appear in a handful of Adam’s projects over the years — from 50 First Dates to Grown Ups.
The couple exchanged vows in June 2003 surrounded by A-list pals, including Jack Nicholson and Rob Schneider. Three years later, Adam and Jackie expanded their family with the birth of daughter Sadie. Their second daughter, Sunny, arrived in 2008.
Like their mom, Adam’s children have often made cameos in his comedies. Both Sadie and Sunny had featured roles in Adam’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah in August 2023, where they played his onscreen daughters.

1999
The pair met while filming Big Daddy, in which Jackie portrayed a waitress at a sports bar. She converted to Judaism after beginning to date Adam.
2003
The couple tied the knot in Malibu with Adam’s beloved dog, Meatball, donning a suit and tie for the star-studded ceremony.
2006
Their first daughter, Sadie, was born in May.
2008
Daughter Sunny arrived in November.
2014
The Happy Gilmore actor reassured Ellen DeGeneres that his wife isn’t bothered by his PDA scenes with Barrymore. “She encourages me [to kiss her],” he joked on Ellen. “There’s no jealousy at all. She’s just like, ‘Get in there.'”
2019
Adam and Jackie locked lips at the Hollywood premiere of Uncut Gems. The Emmy nominee revealed on Ellen that he was “scared” of taking the dramatic role before his spouse gave her two cents. “She gives me strength and courage to jump into this stuff. She read it and was like, ‘You have to do it,'” he said.
2020
Jackie was by her husband’s side as he was honored at the 2020 National Board Of Review Gala for his work in Uncut Gems.

“22 years ago today we locked eyes and fell deep. Look forward to the next 22, young lady. Love you my forever girl,” Adam captioned a sweet anniversary post via Instagram.
2021
The comedian opened up about Jackie’s bond with Aniston, whom he’s shared the screen with several times. “[Jennifer] and my wife have a nice time tag-teaming to try to make me a healthier human being,” he joked to The Hollywood Reporter. “Like, they want me to stretch more — [to] eventually be able to touch my toes, which I’m about 9 inches away from.”
2023
Jackie gave a rousing speech in Washington, D.C. when Adam received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. “I would like to celebrate the real Adam,” she said. “The Pepto Bismol-chugging … air conditioning-blasting … backyard-peeing … disrupter. And, yes, he’s just as funny in real life as he is in the movies … And he’s just as good in bed as you’ve all imagined for so long. Adam, whether you’re awake or not, it’s always fantastic.”
Jackie, Sadie and Sunny appeared alongside Adam in his Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, which premiered in August.
