Hailee Steinfeld grew up in the limelight — but that doesn’t mean she’s always liked to share her love life so publicly.
“I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I’m doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it’s hard for people in general to realize that there are boundaries to a person’s life and personal life” the Oscar nominee exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2018.
Steinfeld added: “I am a very private person. I do love that I have the opportunity to share with them what I’m comfortable with and they’re there to listen and support me.”
Despite her commitment to keeping her relationships under wraps, Steinfeld made headlines for dating famous faces Niall Horan and Josh Allen, who became her husband in May 2025.

Cameron Smoller
The Bumblebee actress was first linked to Instagram star Cameron Smoller in 2016. The pair made their red carpet debut in January 2017 at a Golden Globes event but the relationship fizzled out later that year.
Niall Horan
After a long friendship, Niall Horan and the Edge of Seventeen actress sparked romance speculation in January 2018. At the time, the pair were seen getting cozy while watching Hamilton at London’s West End.
In August 2018, the duo seemingly confirmed the relationship by packing on the PDA in Los Angeles. Us confirmed in December of that year that they’d parted ways several months earlier.
Josh Allen
NFL player Josh Allen turned heads in late May 2023 when he was spotted out on the town in New York City with Steinfeld. The twosome fueled romance rumors over Memorial Day weekend after they were seen together on multiple occasions, including a sushi date with friends. Us confirmed in June 2023 that the former University of Wyoming quarterback and the “Love Myself” songstress had “been together for about a month.”
The new romance came after the professional athlete’s longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams quietly unfollowed Allen on Instagram in April 2023, causing fans to believe they’d split after eight years.
Throughout 2024, Allen and Steinfeld became more public, with the actress attending multiple Bills games. The couple got engaged in November 2024 and married in May 2025. Allen and Steinfeld announced in December 2025 that they are expecting their first baby.
