Peter Kraus found love with Hana Ostapchuk seven years after he appeared on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette.
Reality TV fans first met Kraus in 2017 when he vied for Lindsay’s heart on The Bachelorette season 13 and ultimately finished as the runner-up. Though he didn’t receive Lindsay’s final rose, he never gave up on finding love.
“It took a long time to realize that I was worth something more than what I was finding in the relationships I was in, and that finding more love for myself was more important than finding someone to love me,” he told Us Weekly exclusively in September 2025. “Once I got to a point in my life where I actually didn’t need to date anymore to feel validation is when Hana came into my life. I was so confident and secure finally in who I was, that someone I was worthy of, walked into my life at that point, and that’s where Hana came in.”
Kraus began dating Ostapchuk in 2024. Their whirlwind romance led to a wedding one year later, as well as their first baby on the way.

Who Is Peter Kraus’ Wife Hana Ostapchuk?
Ostapchuk is a “TV host, producer and graphic designer,” according to her LinkedIn. She worked as a brand ambassador for Fox Sports before moving up to a reporter and host role in 2014. She also worked as a graphic designer and digital producer for the company.
Ostapchuk later moved on to CBS Sports, working as a reporter, host and producer. Her other gigs include Entertainment Tonight, Prime Video, Sony Pictures Entertainment and NBC News.
Today, Ostapchuk is an art director and graphic designer at her own company, Hey Hana Design, which she launched in August 2024.
How Did Peter Kraus and Hana Ostapchuk Meet?
Though Kraus and Ostapchuk’s relationship began in 2024, they actually met years prior, the Bachelor Nation star revealed on the “Almost Famous” podcast in January 2026.
“Well, technically we met in 2017 in Las Vegas,” Kraus said, adding that Ostapchuk approached him with a pitch to appear on The Bachelor.
“I spent my entire 20s being the chronically single friend,” Ostapchuk added.
The pair recalled speaking for a few minutes by the pool before parting ways. Over the next few years, they “crossed paths” multiple times without realizing it before finally reconnecting on the dating app Raya.
“So, we matched and she didn’t respond or say anything,” Kraus said, with Ostapchuk explaining that she didn’t think a relationship with him would go anywhere because he lives in Wisconsin, while she lived in Florida.
Kraus and Ostapchuk later ended up in New York at the same time and went out for coffee together, marking the start of their romance.

Months after their relationship began, Kraus and Ostapchuk announced their engagement.
“Throughout it all, it was always you. I just had to find you. I love you,” Kraus wrote via Instagram in July 2025. “Words cannot express the love and happiness we feel. Last night was truly magical and only possible because of an amazing support system of incredible people in our lives! We are so thankful.”

Ostapchuk found out she was pregnant with their first baby just eight days after they got engaged. She and Kraus are expecting their daughter in March 2026.
“I went to one of [Peter’s] workout classes and somebody was like, ‘You’re glowing! It’s the engagement glow,’” Ostapchuk said on “Almost Famous,” revealing that she then realized her period was late. “We took a pregnancy test, and, plot twist, total plot twist, but it’s all great timing.”

Ostapchuk also said that she never wanted a “long engagement.”
“I think we’re too old for that. Really, I didn’t want to be engaged for like, two years,” she added.

Kraus and Ostapchuk wasted no time, tying the knot in her parents’ backyard in Jupiter, Florida, on December 27, 2025. The mom-to-be revealed on “Almost Famous” that they had a “candy bar” at their wedding because she has been craving sweets throughout her pregnancy. Kraus and Ostapchuk also had “a lot of kids” at the ceremony.

“I think we both knew we wanted to do a little backyard wedding, something intimate,” Ostapchuk said. “I think when you have the luxury of getting married in your 20s, you sort of romanticize this huge thing. Now that we’re both a little bit older, we don’t need any of that stuff. We’re just gonna do a small wedding around the holidays in my mom’s backyard.”
Kraus added, “Being at her mom’s house, which to me is like her favorite place on Earth, [is great]. To me, it’s my little sanctuary. When I get away from Wisconsin in the middle of winter, it just made sense.”
