Jesse Williams and actress Alejandra Onieva are expecting their first baby together.
Onieva, 33, confirmed her pregnancy in an Instagram post with a video showing off her baby bump. The pregnancy news comes shortly after multiple outlets reported that Williams, 44, and Onieva tied the knot in a low-key wedding ceremony earlier this year. TMZ was first to break the news.

The couple have largely kept their romance out of the spotlight since meeting on the set of Prime Video’s Hotel Costiera in 2024. After sharing scenes together, Williams and Onieva were spotted spending time together off screen in 2025.
Williams, who became a household name while playing Dr. Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy, previously spoke with Us about his reinvigorating new role as luxury hotel worker Daniel “DD” De Luca. (Onieva had a supporting part as a character named Sheryl.)

“That was fun. I love pushing myself in many ways, but in that way [it] was really awesome,” he shared in September 2025. “The hardest part was I was exhausted after working long hours, and as a producer, you always have several more hours of work to do after.”
Williams also opened up about how his body changed while filming in Italy.
“I started thinking I was going to have to be super rigorous. But I think exhaustion [from filming] helped me not put on many [pounds],” he said. “But also the sad truth is it’s not America. So it’s real ingredients, and it doesn’t bloat or inflame you so much.”
The actor continued: “I lost 13 pounds shooting this show, and I was eating pasta and bread all the time. … I did [do my own stunts]. That stuff is important to me — within reason. I’ve been banged up and injured enough through athletics to know some limits, which I couldn’t say 10 years ago.”

Outside of his work, Williams made headlines with his messy divorce from ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee. The duo married in 2012 and separated in 2017.
After their split, Williams and Drake-Lee, 44, were involved in a public divorce and custody battle that was finalized in 2020.
“These are matters for the court to decide,” Williams’ representative said in a statement in 2017 after a variety of allegations made against him by Drake-Lee. “Jesse has been working tirelessly to maintain his bond with their children, and it is important to note that the dramatizations made in Aryn’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.”
Ultimately, Williams and Drake-Lee agreed to share joint custody of daughter Sadie, 12, and son Maceo, 10.
