Summer House’s Carl Radke Addresses Danielle Olivera Hand Job Claims

Carl Radke is clearing the air about his history with former Summer House costar Danielle Olivera.

“I don’t understand,” Carl, 41, told Variety in an interview published Tuesday, June 9. “That summer, in season 4, Danielle and I were in an Uber back from Montauk and she was rubbing me over my pants, which is called an OTPHJ — over-the-pants handjob. It wasn’t a real handjob, and we all knew it wasn’t a real handjob.”

Carl’s former fiancée, Lindsay Hubbard, claimed in a recent episode of In the City that Danielle, 37, hooked up with Carl in 2019 after he tried to date the Hubb House founder, 39, back in 2019. (Carl and Lindsay ultimately started dating in 2022, the same year that they got engaged. Carl called off their wedding in 2023.)

While speaking with Variety, Carl denied Lindsay’s version of events.

“She was playing with me and flirting with me,” he recalled of Danielle. “We were not being great people in that moment because me and Lindsay had hooked up and were exploring dating, and then a week later, we’re in an Uber and Danielle is kind of making moves on me. We talked about it very openly, there was no shadiness or real hiding. It’s been discussed on multiple seasons and now, on season 1 of In the City.”

Carl continued, “From my understanding, Danielle is frustrated because [of] ‘handjob’ versus ‘over-the-pants handjob.’ It’s been spun out of control. I didn’t lie or make anything up.”

Danielle quickly denied the accusations after Lindsay brought up the rumors during the In the City series premiere.

“Just in case this isn’t actually cleared up later on,” Danielle began in a social media statement last month. “It was a lie then, it’s a lie now.”

Weeks later, Danielle told Us Weekly that she spoke to Carl about the drama because “it was his lie.”

“He’s like, ‘Well, you know, there was some fooling around, like, in the back seat. In my head, I’m like, ‘Eighth graders do more on a dance floor,’” Danielle exclusively recalled to Us earlier this month. “He’s like, ‘It’s crazy that you even have to clear it up, and I’m happy for you and your pregnancy.’”

Danielle and her boyfriend, Eoin Heavey, are currently expecting their first baby.

“[Carl is], like, so far past it, and he wants to have everything be good with Lindsay, and I understand that,” Danielle stated, adding that Carl is “happy to be friends” with Lindsay after their broken engagement.

Danielle and Lindsay now costar on In the City, a Summer House spinoff based on the cast’s lives in Manhattan in between seasons in the Hamptons.

“Lindsay is a force to be reckoned with,” Carl gushed to Variety. “She’s one of the greatest reality TV stars of all time. And if there’s a season 2, I’d love to be a part of it.”
