Trevor Lawrence’s wife, Marissa Mowry, has been his biggest cheerleader since they were kids — and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“We met in fifth grade, so I won’t say I knew [she was The One] in fifth grade,” the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2023. “We started dating seriously in 10th grade.”
Mowry has been documenting their romance from its 2016 start. After dating for two years, the couple celebrated their high school graduation together before becoming long distance in college.
Lawrence and Mowry got engaged in 2020 while they were both still in school and walked down the aisle the following year. Mowry was by her husband’s side in April 2021 when he was drafted into the NFL and the couple have been inseparable ever since.

Elementary School

“We try to do some version of a date night, whether that’s going out or that’s ordering in and just hanging out and having a glass of wine or whatever just to try to spend that time together,” Lawrence exclusively told Us of married life. “We’ve gotten better and better at making time, making sure that we have time together and really prioritizing that.”
The Georgia native noted that he and Mowry “definitely” hope to have children down the line, but at the moment they were focused on just the two of them. “We’ve really just enjoyed not having the responsibility of having kids [right now]. … I wouldn’t say near future, but in the future,” Lawrence added. “So, probably in the next few years. We’re just enjoying where we’re at and we wanna travel and be able to do all that before we kind of settle down.”

Lawrence and Mowry announced that they were expecting their first child.

The pair announced their baby’s sex by pouring pink syrup on a giant ice cream cone as pink smoke bombs went off behind them. “Baby girl 🩷🎀,” Mowry captioned the Instagram photos. “Mom & Dad can’t wait to meet you!!”

Lawrence took a brutal hit during a home game against the Houston Texans, which resulted in him being carted off the field with a concussion and a fight breaking out between Jaguars and Texans players. His wife thanked fans for their support following the incident.
“Thank you for all the texts and prayers,” she wrote via social media. “Just taking time to make sure he’s okay and get[s] healthy but we appreciate all the support and love.”

The pair announced the arrival of their first child, daughter Shae Lynn.
