Kelly Osbourne Shares Plans for 1st Father’s Day After Dad Ozzy’s Death

Kelly Osbourne is planning to honor her late dad, Ozzy Osbourne, on the first Father’s Day since his death last year.

“Me and my brother Louis are going to do something special for my dad this weekend,” Kelly, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Mind x The Ricky Hatton Foundation charity auction in London on Thursday, June 18.

Heavy metal legend Ozzy died at age 76 in July 2025. His cause of death was later revealed to be cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2019.

While speaking to Us, Kelly shared an update on how she’s doing nearly one year after her father’s death.

“I’m getting a little bit better every day. The pain will never go away, and I’ll never be the person I was before he died again,” she said. “But I’m getting to know the new me.”

When asked who is the “new” Kelly, she responded, “I’m still figuring it out.”

Ozzy shared Kelly, as well as daughter Aimee, 42, and son Jack, 40, with wife Sharon Osbourne. The singer was also a dad to daughter Jessica, 54, and son Louis, 51, with ex-wife Thelma Riley. He also adopted Riley’s son from a previous relationship, Elliot, 60.

Ozzy’s family confirmed his death in a statement to Us.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” they shared. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

In her own tribute shared via Instagram in August 2025, Kelly opened up about dealing with grief.

“Grief is a strange thing,” she wrote. “It sneaks up on you in waves — I will not be OK for a while — but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind.”

Kelly and other family members later celebrated what would have been Ozzy’s 77th birthday in December 2025.

“Happy birthday daddy you most certainly did not die an ordinary man!” the actress captioned a post set to Ozzy’s 2020 song “Ordinary Man” featuring Elton John. “Life without you is hard, but not a day goes by that I don’t dedicate my life to loving you and your legacy! I miss you more than anything in the world. I love you until eternity! What I would not give to watch you blow out just one more candle 🕯️.”
