Jennifer Grey is proving that friends who go topless together at the beach are the best kind of friends on Tracy Pollan’s birthday.
Grey, 66, shared a racy throwback photo with Michael J. Fox’s wife, 66, in celebration of her longtime friend’s special day, teasing their more risque antics from years’ past.
“Happy birthday @tracy.pollan♥️,” Grey captioned the Monday, June 22, Instagram photo. “Friendship like this is 🌟‘if you fall I will catch you, I’ll be waiting… time after time!’”
In the vintage picture, the Dirty Dancing actress is standing with her arm around Pollan. Grey can be seen wearing a pink v-cut bikini bottom but no top as she poses alongside the blonde beauty on the sand. Grey’s legs are slightly crossed and her curls are blowing naturally in the ocean breeze.

Pollan, for her part, wore a light blue bikini bottom and also chose to go topless for the back-in-the-day beach outing.
While it is clear neither woman has a top on, Grey covered their bare breasts in the picture with gold stars. Their toned abs, however, are on full display.
“What 1980s exercises were you ladies doing to get abs like that? 😱🔥 happy friendship day to you both 🫶🏻,” one user wrote in the comments section.
Another fan replied, “Haha! Besties have all the receipts 🙌🏼♥️♥️.”
Pollan, meanwhile, was a fan of Grey’s choice in the picture, writing in the comments, “Hahahaha I love you!!” She added three heart emojis in a separate comment.
Grey and Pollan, both actresses, have been friends for decades, well before either of them was famous.
The Ferris Bueller’s Day Off actress revealed in June 2024 that she and Pollan have been “best friends since 1974,” when they were about 14 and going to high school in New York.

“I can’t believe that in addition to celebrating your birthday, we are also going to be celebrating the marriage of the first of your four beautiful children! #skyandwill❤️#itsamitzvahpalooza,” Grey wrote via Instagram at the time, referring to Pollan and Fox’s daughter Schuyler getting married in the Catskill Mountains that year on her mom’s special day. (Pollan shares son Sam, 37, twin daughters Schuyler and Aquinnah, 31, and daughter Esmé, 24, with Fox, whom she wed in 1988.)
Pollan and Grey have continued their friendship for more than five decades, frequently enjoying beach days.
“Happiest birthday to my most precious friend. I love you so very much ❤️,” Pollan wrote via Instagram in March 2025, sharing a beach selfie with Grey. (Grey is the mother of daughter Stella, 24, whom she shares with ex-husband Clark Gregg.)

In the snap, the two women were bare-faced, wearing no makeup as they laid on the sand side by side.
Earlier this year, the longtime besties went on a tropical vacation and once again embraced their inner mermaids.
“Long overdue girls trip @tracy.pollan 🤍 giggled like we were back in high school,” Grey captioned the February Instagram post.
Among the pictures, was a selfie of Pollan and Grey with the ocean in the background. There was also a snap of Grey wearing a black one-piece suit standing on the shore.
“Love you the mostest!” Pollan replied in the comments section.
