More details from 90 Day Fiancé alum Thais Ramone’s recent arrest for domestic battery have come to light, including her side of the story.
Thais, 30, was questioned by police in bodycam footage obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, June 17, which showed the reality TV alum speaking about her relationship status with estranged husband Patrick Mendes.
“We [haven’t] had anything for a long time,” she alleged in the video taken last month. “We’re not together.”
Thais further claimed that she separated from Patrick, 36, because she “couldn’t do anything.”

“We never had aggressive types of fights,” she said. “He tries to, like, control me through [our daughter].”
After Thais’ tearful testimony, police officers handcuffed her and booked her into custody.
Thais was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery on May 22, the same day that Patrick filed for divorce, following accusations that she allegedly slapped her now-ex. The charges were eventually dropped.
After the video from her arrest was made public earlier this month, Thais spoke out about the incident, claiming, “The footage begins after a series of events that are not shown to the public.”
“While I am not proud of every reaction I had in an emotionally charged situation, the body camera footage does not tell the complete story of what led to that moment,” she said in a Friday, June 19, press release. “The public deserves to understand that there was context long before the cameras started rolling. Those who know me know that l am a devoted mother who has worked hard to build a life for my family. The footage does not define me, my character, or what really occurred leading to my reaction.”

According to Thais’ legal team, the release of the footage has strengthened her ongoing legal battle with estranged husband Patrick.
“This isn’t about relitigating a single moment in the media,” her talent manager Dominique Enchinton said in the same press release. “It’s about ensuring that Thais is treated fairly and that people understand there is often far more to a story than what can be captured in a short video clip. The authorities reviewed the matter, no criminal charges were filed, and Thais is entitled to have her full story heard.”
Us Weekly confirmed on Tuesday, June 16, that Patrick filed for a default divorce last month and requested sole legal custody and primary physical custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Aleesi. Thais, who was first served with divorce paperwork 21 days before Patrick’s new motion, has since been fighting the charges.
“Let me be clear: Thais has rights, and those rights will be protected,” Thais’ immigration attorney Kathleen Martinez said in a press release shared with Us on Wednesday. “No one should ever be made to feel powerless because of their immigration status, and no one should be bullied into silence. My team and I will vigorously defend Thais’ interests and ensure she is treated fairly every step of the way.”

Thais also employed family law attorney Carmen Marisol to advocate for a joint custody ruling.
“Based on the information currently available, we are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that Thais is a loving, capable, and devoted mother,” Marisol said in a statement. “We look forward to presenting the facts and ensuring her rights are fully protected throughout this process.”
In addition, Thais is working with talent manager Enchinton.
“Thais deserves the opportunity to live in peace, raise her child, and move forward with dignity,” Enchinton stated in a statement of her own on Wednesday. “We have assembled an exceptional team committed to ensuring she has access to the strongest legal and professional support available as she navigates this chapter of her life. Our hope is for a peaceful resolution for all parties.”
