Blake Horstmann, Giannina Gibelli Admit to Feeling Post-Wedding ‘Anxiety’

Blake Horstmann and Giannina Gibelli are experiencing post-wedding bliss, but there are also some blues.

“We have not stopped traveling since we got home, but it’s been good,” Blake, 37, told Us exclusively on Thursday, July 23, while promoting his and Gibelli’s podcast, “He Said, G Said,” which premiered in May.

Giannina, 33, added that they’ve experienced some “wedding anxiety.”

“It was the best day of our lives, literally. And for, like, a week after when we came home, I was just, like, jet-lagged,” she explained. “And I was like, ‘Who am I now?’ Being a bride for a year and a half was lovely, and now just settling into our new, like, solid foundation, which was nice.”

Giannina continued, “I baked, like, five loaves of bread. I just couldn’t stop baking. Yeah, I was stress baking.”

The Love Is Blind star and the Bachelorette alum tied the knot on June 20 after five years of dating. The pair exchanged vows during an intimate wedding in Croatia while surrounded by alums from both of their reality franchises, including Jason Tartick, Astrid Loch, Alexa Lemieux, Colleen Reed and Raven Ross.

“People say your wedding is the best day of your life, and we can say with the most certainty and love in our hearts that it exceeded every single expectation,” Blake wrote via Instagram at the time alongside their wedding video. “It couldn’t have been more perfect, meaningful, magnificent and most of all more ‘us’ a day we will always replay till the end of time ❤️.”

While speaking with Us, Giannina and Blake shared the most memorable parts of their wedding.

“I really love the boat ride that I had going from the mainland to the island where we were getting married,” Giannina recalled. “It was such a moment for me to be like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s happening,’ and it’s my happy place being on the water and all of that, and it was a time for me to just have that for myself before fully giving myself.”

Meanwhile, Blake told Us he loved jumping in the ocean at 4 a.m.

“Everything was pretty much done,” he said. “The music was off, and us and probably, like, 30 of our wedding guests jumped into the ocean, and it was a moment of like, ‘It was awesome, but it’s done,’ and I’m happy it’s done, and now it’s really cleansing.”

Blake and Giannina began dating in late 2021 and got engaged in October 2024. They share one child, son Heath, 2, who served as the ring bearer in their wedding.

Now that the chaos of planning their nuptials is behind them, Blake and Giannina are hoping to expand their family with another baby. Additionally, they’re ready to focus on their podcast.

“We’ve been working really hard on that,” Giannina said on Thursday. “Now we can dive fully into that because we kind of started that in the middle of wedding planning, like, the tail end of wedding planning. We can dive fully into that, and hopefully, yeah, expand the family.”
