RHOBH’s PK Kemsley Opens Up About How the Show Affected Marriage to Dorit

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ PK Kemsley is opening up about his divorce from Dorit Kemsley, revealing how the show affected their marriage.

PK, 58, and Dorit, 49, announced their separation in May 2024, with Dorit filing for divorce from the talent manager and entrepreneur in April 2025. The exes share son Jagger, 12, and daughter Phoenix, 10.

In a wide-ranging interview with relationship expert Paul C. Brunson on the latter’s “We Need to Talk” podcast on Tuesday, April 28, PK revealed how appearing on the Bravo reality show changed both him and Dorit and their relationship, leaving him to wonder about his wife, “Who are you?”

“I’m not blaming that show [for] my divorce or my relationship or who I think Dorit is now versus who I think she was, or who I am now,” he said, adding, “I think the biggest question that I have that will never be answered is that, is Dorit where she was always going to be and always going to end up, or was I responsible for putting her in that world and then that world created what happened now?”

“Because there’s no question that before we did that [show] … If you talk about happy times, I remember living in Tribeca, we had a beautiful apartment, and then we had the baby, and life was pretty f***ing good,” he continued.

PK said that it was his idea for Dorit to go on RHOBH after the couple moved to Los Angeles. Looking back, he said, “Who drove the bus into the wall? Me.” (Dorit and PK joined the cast during season 7, which aired from December 2016 to April 2017.)

He explained, “The show likes to go back and only talk about bad things. They build up this vision of who you are as a person, as a couple, and then you start repeating it, you start believing it, and suddenly you find yourself [saying], ‘What are you talking about? I’m nothing like that guy. I’m nothing like the person they’re showing.’ And I’m looking at my wife and saying, ‘Who are you?’ It’s scary when you look at it.”

Elsewhere in the interview, PK said that he doesn’t “want that period of my life to define me.”

“That show… it’s not my life,” he said.

“It’s a TV show that shows snippets of my life based on the premise of the show,” he went on to allege. “And they cut it, they edit it, they allow story lines that even the producers know are not true to grow, because that’s the brilliance of the show.”

PK said that he has chosen not to address Dorit’s claims about their separation and divorce on the show for the sake of their children. (During season 14, Dorit claimed her ex was a “full-blown alcoholic,” which he denied at the time. During the currently airing season 15, Dorit alleged that PK “doesn’t give me any money” and that she was paying all the household bills for their family home.)

“I’ve been very clear that I do not want to litigate my divorce publicly. I don’t think it serves in the best interests of the kids,” PK said during Tuesday’s interview.

“I’m not going to come out and say, ‘That’s not true. That’s not true.’ How about the whole lot ain’t true? The only real victims are going to be the kids, so I’m going to do all I can to protect them,” he continued.

Although PK didn’t pinpoint what he disagrees with about his portrayal on RHOBH, he alluded that he doesn’t think some of Dorit’s televised actions have been in her best interest.

He said, “I know that I’m not free from blame, but I’m not controlling the last two years, and I wouldn’t have encouraged it and I would have strongly recommended — in any capacity, my capacity as a manager, as a business guy, father and husband — if I’d have had somebody who would listen, I’d say, ‘That is the wrong thing to do.’”
