The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, have called it quits after nearly 30 years of marriage, according to multiple media reports.

News of the couple’s split comes weeks after their 27th wedding anniversary. Eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Angie, 52, did not post to mark the occasion this year, but she did share a thoughtful tribute in June 2025.
“A Hair Affair🤍🤍🤍 #26YEARS,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Seems like yesterday I booked an appointment for a blowdry with this dreamy guy I saw on the cover of a romance novel in the grocery store checkout. Long hair like Fabio, big muscles, and known to be lethal with scissors. The rest is HAIRstory❤️.”

It’s unclear whether any relationship drama leading up to the couple’s separation will be featured on season 7 of RHOSLC, which began filming in late February.
Shawn, 55, notably addressed split rumors in January when fans noticed that he began following divorce coaches on social media.
“After all the assumptions and continued speculation, much like the statement I’ve made on the previous issue, I am compelled to defend who I’ve followed on social media. This has nothing to do with Angie,” he told Reality Shrine in response.

“I simply have someone close to me going through a rough time,” Shawn added. “This person sends me pages with thoughts and info on what they are going through. It’s as simple as that. Nothing more nothing less. I understand we are in the public eye.”
Fans first met Angie and Shawn when she appeared as a guest on season 2 of RHOSLC, which aired in 2021. She was later named a “friend of” for season 3, eventually becoming a full-time Housewife when season 4 premiered in 2023.
The pair, who cofounded the Lunatic Fringe hair salon and share 15-year-old daughter Elektra, have weathered their fair share of speculation about their relationship since joining the Bravo universe. During season 4, rumors swirled that Shawn was unfaithful and cheated on Angie with several men — which he denied.
“For me, it’s not a gay-straight thing. It’s an infidelity thing,” he said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in 2023. “We love our gay community. We’ve been embedded in it for 30 years now just based on what we do for our business. But I’m here to support Angie, and I’ll take the hits.”

Last year, as the RHOSLC cast graced the cover of Us magazine’s Reality Stars of the Year issue, Angie exclusively opened up about how she and Shawn moved forward from the drama.
“It didn’t offend him, because we’ve been friends and family of the LGBTQIA+ community for over 30 years,” she told Us. “So you know, those rumors that the girls were throwing out there, it’s like the low-hanging fruit. … For him, he was more offended that people were questioning him being faithful to his wife.”
Angie noted at the time that Shawn’s response to the speculation “spoke volumes to his character.”
“Out of a bad situation, good can come and light can come from it,” she added. “And for me, that was it — just how he handled it, how we handled it and how we moved through it as a couple. We just kept moving forward as a couple and as a family. And the truth prevails.”
