In his latest Netflix special, Jamie Foxx opens up about his 2023 health scare like never before. Fans who attended an October taping for Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was spoke to CNN about the comedian’s candid set, with one audience member saying Foxx revealed that “he passed out and remembered waking up. He said it was a near-death experience. … He thought he just passed out for a second, but it was two or three weeks. He was in a stone-cold coma.” Foxx claimed that he was “literally within an inch of his life,” according to the fan. The special, which debuts December 10, comes more than one year after Foxx’s daughter Corinne announced the actor’s hospitalization in April 2023 due to a “medical complication.” He remained in the hospital for several weeks and has yet to give specifics about what caused his health to take such a drastic turn.
