Garrett Yrigoyen found The One with wife Alex Yrigoyen after his messy split from Becca Kufrin following The Bachelorette.
Garrett got engaged to Kufrin during the season 14 finale in 2018, but by 2020 there was trouble in paradise. Kufrin announced that September that the pair called it quits after Garrett made waves for his controversial comments about “Blue Lives Matter” after George Floyd’s death.
Garrett bounced back later that year after meeting now-wife Alex. The pair tied the knot in November 2023 on Oahu. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in January 2025 that Alex is pregnant with the couple’s first baby.
“Immediately I got super giddy. I was pumped up,” Garrett gushed to Us at the time. “She ran over, and she’s like, ‘Oh, my God, can you believe it?’ I was like, ‘No way,’ because I was thinking, like, that happened so fast.”

Kufrin confirmed her split from Garrett in early September 2020, but made it clear things were over for a while.
October 2020
Garrett revealed via Instagram that he was dating Alex in October 2020. The twosome subsequently shared a series of photos from different days and trips, hinting that they’ve been in item for some time.
Kufrin seemingly reacted with a cryptic quote at the time: “Sunday lesson. Be mindful of how you react to people when you feel disrespected.”

The couple celebrated Thanksgiving together in November 2020.
