Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s relationship included a nude paddleboarding session, a meeting with the pope and just about everything in between before they split in June 2025.
The singer and the actor dated from January 2016 to March 2017 before briefly calling it quits. They were officially back together by February 2018, and one year later, Bloom proposed on Valentine’s Day.
While the duo had big plans for their nuptials, they were forced to postpone first in late 2019 because of a problem with the location and then again in early 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Amid their ever-changing wedding plans, Perry announced in March 2020 that she was expecting their first child — a baby girl. Their daughter, Daisy Dove, arrived in August 2020.
Nearly five years later, Us Weekly confirmed that Bloom and Perry had parted ways.

“We weren’t really in it from day one,” the singer admitted. “He was, in a way, because he had just done a time of celibacy and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond.’”
While Perry had “yet to do some real work” on herself, Bloom went to a weeklong retreat “to rewire all [his] bad habits.” When he returned, the duo were not on the same page.

According to a separate insider, the couple’s inner circle are aware of their rough patch. “It’s an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now,” the second source said. “Everyone around them knows.”
The second insider noted that Bloom is keeping their relationship troubles “close to the vest” but has been “out and about more often” without Perry. “Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often,” the second source said. “That has caused tension.”
The second insider shared that Perry and Bloom’s wedding planning has been on hold, noting that they “never set a date” or “got around to planning anything and Orlando is ‘over it.’” A third source said, “Things aren’t good.”
As speculation swirled about their relationship, Bloom joked during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that his dog is his “emotional support animal.” While laughing, he added, “Because I’m very emotional right now.”
Us confirmed on June 25 that Bloom and Perry “have split but are amicable,” with a source close to the pair exclusively revealing, “It’s not contentious at the moment.”
