Following her high profile relationship with Scott Disick, Sofia Richie has had a more low-key approach to her romance with Elliot Grainge.
Richie and Disick — who have a 15-year age gap — started dating in 2017, after his breakup from Kourtney Kardashian. The model and Disick broke up briefly in March 2020 before getting back together two months later. The twosome called it quits for good in August 2020 following tension with Kardashian.
In January 2021, Richie sparked dating rumors with Grainge after the pair were spotted together. They confirmed their relationship two months later and an insider detailed how their friendship turned into more over time.
“They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious. Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together,” the source shared with Us in April 2021. “He’s super sweet and a really cool guy — her friends and family approve!”
Two years later, in April 2023, the couple tied the knot during a timeless ceremony at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Rock in Antibes, France.

The duo became Instagram official when Richie shared a series of Instagram pics which included a snap of them kissing.

An insider exclusively told Us that Richie loves that her boyfriend is “low-key and isn’t someone who craves the spotlight.”
“They like to be homebodies but also enjoy going out together,” the source added at the time.

Her sister Nicole Richie commented on the post, replying, “Elliot i love you more than you love instacart,” while her husband Joel Madden added, “my brother.”

Sofia announced her engagement to Grainge via Instagram. “Forever isn’t long enough @elliot,” she wrote alongside a photo of the moment that her beau got down on one knee and popped the question. She also shared a close-up snap of the duo sharing a kiss after the big moment with her new ring fully visible.

“Sofia is over the moon about her engagement. She couldn’t be happier that she found The One,” a source exclusively told Us. “She’s taking the time to enjoy being engaged and traveling the world with Elliot, but at the same time, she has started wedding planning and looking at locations. She wants to get married next year.”
The Los Angeles native’s nuptials will “probably be just as elegant as her engagement party,” the insider said, noting that the bride is aware that “a lot of work will go into making it her dream wedding!”
Ahead of their big day, Sofia’s sister, Nicole, has been helping with the wedding plans, the source added. “Her mom is also offering advice, and of course Miles and Lionel are supportive and there for her if need be,” the insider explained, revealing that Sofia’s “friends and family adore Elliot and think he’s the perfect match for her.”

Richie announced she is pregnant with the couple’s first baby, a girl. “When we turned over all three tests at the same time, they were all positive. He was so excited, and we both cried,” Richie told Vogue of her husband’s reaction, noting they found out about the pregnancy at about four weeks. “It was crazy and overwhelming and so hard not to scream it from the rooftops.”
