Growing up in the spotlight, Sofia Richie has sparked her fair share of swoon-worthy romances — including her marriage to Elliot Grainge.
Lionel Richie‘s daughter caught fans’ attention in August 2016 when she began dating Justin Bieber. The relationship was brief, and Sofia later made headlines the next year for romancing Scott Disick.
Us Weekly confirmed that the pair had split following a brief separation in May 2020. “Friends attributed their 15-year age difference becoming an issue,” an insider said in August 2020. “[Scott’s] in a very much different place in his life, really focused on a [quieter] lifestyle, his kids and his investment businesses and Sofia … is really still trying to figure what she wants to do, which drove them apart over time.”
Following her split from Disick, Sofia was linked to a handful of different partners, including Grainge. The duo made their relationship Instagram official in April 2021 and got engaged one year later. They wed in April 2023.

The “Summertime in Paris” singer had a short-lived relationship with Sofia in 2012. Their former fling came to light again in September 2020 after the pair sparked dating rumors while reconnecting in Malibu, California. “Me and Sofia have been friends for like 10 years,” Smith said on iHeartRadio’s On-Air With Ryan Seacrest at the time, denying that anything romantic was going on.

Us broke the news in October 2020 that Richie had moved on with the Cha Cha Matcha cofounder after officially ending things with Disick. At the time, a source revealed, “They both run in the same circle and have known each other. So, it’s easy and fun for both of them. Sofia’s family approves of him, which is super nice for her.” It’s not clear when their flame fizzled out.

Sofia announced in January 2024 that she is pregnant with her and Grainge’s first baby. “We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock,” she told Vogue at the time, confirming she’s having a girl. “My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too.”
