Lisa Ann Walter Dishes the Best Thing About Her ‘Abbott Elementary’ Paycheck

Lisa Ann Walter puts her Abbott Elementary paycheck to good use.

“The best thing about getting a regular paycheck is that I can afford weekly dance lessons,” Walter, 60, exclusively shares in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “I competed in hustle competitions, taught ballroom at Arthur Murray and was taught by the best Blackpool champs for Shall We Dance?, [but] I never learned the Argentine tango, so I am now – look at the effect on my booty!”

While the actress loves her job and learning how to do the Argentine tango, she still takes time to unwind by heading to bar trivia in Santa Monica with her friends.

“Each of us has several areas of expertise, making us a pretty good team,” Walter explains to Us.

4:45 a.m.
Although Walter has to wake up early to head to Warner Bros. Studios, she tells Us that working on Abbott Elementary is “the best job in the world.” Since she has an early call time, she never forgets her travel mug “full of Starbucks decaf espresso Americano.”

5:20 a.m.
After arriving on set, Walter gets camera ready with hairstylist Dustin Von Osborne and “makeup genius” Jenn Bennett.

10:30 a.m.
Walter tells Us about a scene that took “six” hours to shoot on a basketball court. “[It] will be one of the funniest things ever on our show,” she teases.

3:45 p.m.
Following a long day on set, Walter has a “quick run home to change” before heading to do press for Access Hollywood with Courtney Lopez and Mario Lopez.

4:45 p.m.
After work, Walter, who is a trained ballroom dancer, heads to her Argentine tango dance classes.

7:00 p.m.
Following a long day, Walter’s winds down by going to bar trivia in Santa monica. “The first time, I dragged them for my birthday,” Walters recalled to Us. “They loved it, and it’s become a regular thing.”
